Backend Engineer, Care Orchestration

Build the service layer that turns model recommendations into real-world medical action. This team owns the orchestration logic connecting records, scheduling, referrals, messaging, diagnostics, and care operations.
Responsibilities
- •Design APIs and service workflows for triage, routing, referrals, and clinical task execution
- •Build durable event-driven systems that coordinate work across product, operations, and clinical teams
- •Integrate with EHRs, labs, imaging providers, and third-party healthcare infrastructure where needed
- •Own data correctness, auditability, and operational resilience in high-stakes flows
- •Work closely with product and operations to encode real-world care logic into software systems
Requirements
- •Strong backend engineering experience with distributed systems and API design
- •Proficiency in one or more of Go, Python, Rust, or TypeScript/Node
- •Experience with event-driven systems, workflow engines, or orchestration layers
- •Good judgment around data modeling, observability, and fault tolerance
- •Healthcare systems integration experience is a strong plus
